The ‘Cock has Black Heart Bart (1) marked clearly as the horse to beat with It’s Somewhat (2), Tom Melbourne (4) & Life Less Ordinary (8) the best of the others.

Black Heart Bart is definitely 1-2 lengths below where he was at this time last year but as he showed with a strong 2nd last start in the Railway, he doesn’t need to be racing at his career best to win a G1 in Perth.
