The ‘Cock is expecting Crystal Dreamer to hold the form show in her most recent runs at Flemington and Sandown after a four week freshen up, having run second to Ball Of Muscle on Oaks Day before winning the Doveton Stakes on Sandown Classic Day in those outings. Should match that and is priced fairly as a $3 favourite.

Of the next three Manolo Blahniq is the one The ‘Cock can see the most improvement in, having turned in a strong rating run for second on return at Sandown last time out. Don’t anticipate any regression second up which makes him a double-figure chance that is certainly worth monitoring.

Recommended Betting Strategy:

• The ‘Cock has to respect the challengers to Crystal Dreamer but he would be reluctant to bet against her as the top pick who is 50% chance of winning it, as reflected in the $3 quote. Include her and the other three listed runners in the exotics.
